Since the SHIFTmu can of course also be used purely as a smartphone, we will probably deliver it with a current Android version. Nevertheless, we focus our developments on providing a high-performance basis for an all-round stable WINDOWS system. We will not limit the bootloader with locks so that you can freely install your own desired operating system.
The display size of the SHIFTmu smartphone will be in the 5 to 6 inch range. The mobile display (in tablet format) will probably be 13.3 inches in size and will support Active Pen.
We believe that this project will make a difference! However, the SHIFTmu cannot yet be satisfactorily implemented with the current state of technology and we are dependent on other companies for further development. It is particularly about the processor and the radio technology.
Innovative progress, longevity, reducing e-waste and waste, fair production… All of these topics that are so important to us are once again covered and implemented by the SHIFTmu.
However, they also require an extensive development period, as well as some key advancements within the technology industry. Therefore, it is unfortunately impossible to name an exact release date right now. If you want to go along, just do it because you want to support the development of an innovative and unprecedented product and not if you need the device by a fixed date.
Cell Broadcast ist ein Mobilfunkdienst, mit dem Warnnachrichten direkt auf das Smartphone geschickt werden können. Beim bundesweiten Warntag 2022 stellte sich heraus, dass unser SHIFT6mq die Warnmeldungen über Cell Broadcast erhält, bei unserem SHIFT5me und unserem SHIFT6m diese jedoch ausblieben. Leider haben wir keinen Einfluss darauf, welche Geräte die Nachrichten vom BBK erhalten. Es gibt jedoch verschiedene alternative Möglichkeiten, um auch mit dem SHIFT5me und SHIFT6m eine Warnmeldung zu bekommen:
1. Warn-App NINA

2. KATWARN

3. BBK-Warnungen im RSS Feed
Das BBK bietet die Möglichkeit, Warnmeldungen als RSS-Feed zu erhalten. Du benötigst dazu einen RSS-Reader.
